Welcome to Ice Road Apps

By using Ice Road Apps ("the Site" and "the Apps"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use our services. We've kept this as straightforward as possible.

1. What We Provide

Ice Road Apps offers free progressive web apps (PWAs) — small, focused tools that run entirely in your browser. Each app is a single HTML file with no external dependencies. Your data is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage.

Some apps that prove popular may eventually be offered as paid native apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, typically at $0.99–$1.99. The web versions will remain free.

2. Your Data

All data you enter into our apps stays on your device. We have no access to it. This means:

  • We cannot recover your data if you clear your browser storage
  • We cannot transfer your data between devices
  • We cannot see what you've entered into any app
  • You are responsible for any data you choose to store

3. Acceptable Use

You May:

  • Use our apps for personal or commercial purposes
  • Share links to our site
  • Download app files for personal offline use

You May Not:

  • Redistribute our apps as your own
  • Remove attribution or claim authorship
  • Use our site to distribute malware or harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt our services

4. Disclaimers

  • As-Is: Our apps are provided "as-is" for free. We do our best to make them useful and reliable, but we make no guarantees
  • No Warranties: We don't guarantee continuous availability, accuracy of calculations, or fitness for any particular purpose
  • Data Loss: Since data is stored in your browser's localStorage, clearing your browser data will delete your app data. We cannot recover it
  • Your Responsibility: Decisions made based on information from our apps are your responsibility

5. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: All app code, design, and content are the intellectual property of IceRoadLogic
  • Trademarks: Ice Road Apps and IceRoadLogic are trademarks of IceRoadLogic

6. Limitation of Liability

IceRoadLogic and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data stored in localStorage
  • Decisions made based on app output
  • Temporary unavailability of the website
  • Any consequential, indirect, or punitive damages

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use means you accept the changes.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northwest Territories, Canada.
